CATHOLIC DIOCESE OF NSUKKA
A TALK TO THE CATHOLIC WOMEN ORGANIZATION (CWO).
BY: HILLARY TOBECHUKWU EZE {DAN~HILL)
TOPIC: MOTHERS GIFT FROM GOD.
Juma ọbọbiigwe ihe obụ ode nu
inwere okpo nu ke.
WHO IS A MOTHER? SIRACH 26:1-4 AND 5-12 AND 13-18.
A mother is a women validly
married according to her culture. Culture may be traditionally or in a
Christian way. In our own contest, it is in a Christian way. A mother does not
mean categorically women with children. The bible said that a woman is a
companion to the man not an incubator. (Gen. 1:18). Mothers are those women who
take care of a home where people are living. A mother, in the altar of wedding
always promise her husband respect and every other thing. A mother is a person
who takes care of the husband God gave to her and so on.
WHAT ARE OUR DUTIES?
1. Taking
care of our homes.
2. Taking
care of our husbands.
3. Taking
care of our children.
4. Taking
care of our communities.
5. Taking
care of our churches.
WHAT ARE OUR PROBLEMS WHICH CAUSE FAILURE IN RESPOSIBILITIES?
1. Gossiping.
2. Over
busy.
3. Unforgiving
Spirit.
4. Pentecostalism.
5. Having
many gods.
WHAT MAY BE OUR SOLUTIONS TO THESE CHALLENGES?
1. Coming
Back To Ourselves.
2. Believing
God.
3. Facing
our primary works very well.
4. Seeking
for good advice.
5. Being
in God terms with God.
6. Prayer
is the only way out.
Duties.
A woman is brought to a home to
heal so wounds of love in that home. There are love that cannot be gotten from
men no matter what they do. Women solve many hidden problems that men cannot
solve.
·
Our homes are the primary assignment God has
given to us as mothers. Anything that happens to our homes, we are responsible
for it. Our homes are the first place we should invest.
·
People we find in our homes are the second work
God has given to us. The first among them are our husbands. Men generally are
satisfied when their stomachs are being taken good care of.
·
The other now are our children. After our
husbands. We have another great work to do on our children. Children of these
days are becoming another things altogether. We have to tighten our belts.
·
In our world today, our community is turning to
another thing all together. We the mothers are to take charge of the community
by training every child we meet. Do not be selfish. Only your child cannot make
the community better.
·
The church is also a mother and our earthly
mother should take care of the church. Church is like our stomachs, it does not
remember that you offered millions yesterday. No matter how you eat in the
morning, you will still go hungry in the afternoon at night.
Our Failures.
·
Some of us have made gossiping there second
nature. They prefer carrying news around both truth and false news around. AKA Ịnụgọ
ma dụ? They leave their families and go about to gossip. They leave
they shops, places of works, they leave church to gossip. Instead of keeping
their mouths shut, they will repeat one story up to many times. Jụma ọbọbụ
igwe ihe ọbụ odenu inwere ọkpọ nụ kee.
·
Some of make effort more than efforts required
of us. They over busy themselves either with home chores, meeting, farm chores,
businesses, offices and so many other places we engage ourselves.
·
In the our father we say always, we say time
without number, forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.
But when it comes to doing it, we will have thousand and one reason to give so
that we will not forgive. There is no amount of reason we will give that we
make us to be right when we fail to forgive. It is only when you forgive others
that God will forgive you. Eme emeweru bụ okwu n’ ihu Chukwu.
·
Yamgbe yamgbe of these days are now
making us the mother to lose our balance. Brother John n’ ahụ zaazaazaa. Sister
Jane bụ
ọkụ. All these are just blindfolding us of the things we should do.
Sometimes our problems come from us, but because our men and women of God do
not tell us the truth, we do not recognize these things. Yamgbe yamgbe.
·
Diabolism is another problem that challenges us
very much. We put our hands into many bad things. Some of us are murderers,
thieves, prostitutes, cult members. Some of in other to protect the integrity
of our husbands put our hands in many bad things. Ọjọrọ njọ.
DO NOT ENVY THEM.
Don’t envy the cheats, for they
started with themselves.
Don’t envy the murderers, they
are dead already.
Don’t envy the thief, he owns
nothing himself.
Don’t envy the intimidators, they
are even afraid of their shadows.
Don’t envy the witch or the
wizard, they are a condemned set.
Don’t envy sinners for they are
all going to hell.
Don’t give up your good virtues,
you will be rewarded adequately.
THESE ARE FROM ONE LETTER WORD TO TEN LETTER WORDS WE SHOULD KNOW.
I…………………………………………….Avoid it.
We…………………………………………Use it.
Ego…………………………………………Kill it.
Love………………………………………..Value it.
Smile……………………………………….Keep it.
Gossip………………………………………Ignore it.
Success……………………………………..Achieve
it.
Jealousy…………………………………….Distance
it.
Knowledge…………………………………Acquire it.
Confidence…………………………………Have it.
We pray with Mary the model of a
good mother to help us on our journey towards heaven, so that all our efforts
in this life may not be in vain. We ask these and every other intentions we
have through our Lord Jesus Christ who lives and reigns in the unity of the
Holy Spirit one God forever and ever. AMEN. THANKS.
