THEME: HE CANNOT LEAVE US AMONG THE DEAD.
The
obstacle in our path
In
ancient times, a King had a boulder placed on a roadway. Then he hid himself
and watched to see if anyone would remove the huge rock. Some of the king's
wealthiest merchants and courtiers came by and simply walked around it. Many
loudly blamed the King for not keeping the roads clear, but none did anything
about getting the stone out of the way.
Then a peasant came along carrying a load of vegetables. Upon approaching the boulder, the peasant laid down his burden and tried to move the stone to the side of the road. After much pushing and straining, he finally succeeded. After the peasant picked up his load of vegetables, he noticed a purse lying in the road where the boulder had been. The purse contained many gold coins and a note from the King indicating that the gold was for the person who removed the boulder from the roadway.
The peasant learned what many of us never understand! Every obstacle presents an opportunity to improve our condition. Continue Reading

The
three readings of today are telling us that God will never leave to die in our
problems. In the first reading, St. Peter tells what David said in his days in
Psalm my body shall rest in safety.
Whenever we are in trouble we are only to look onto the lord and remind him of
his promise and he will do something spectacular.
The
second reading tells us that if we ask the good Lord who judges with
uprightness to do anything for us, he will do it if we ourselves are righteous
in our actions. The Gospel shows us the situation the apostles where when Jesus
led them. Many of them left for they could not understand what was going on.
The two disciples who were going to Emmaus also left for they could no longer
wait for him who they did not understand for since they heard that he has
resurrected, he did not do anything to show his power. They were in serious dilemma,
whether to still follow him or to leave him. They left for Emmaus to see if they will find
greener pasture. The Lord met them for he noticed they were troubled. He met
them to give them the everlasting hope. The disciples who met him on their way
to Emmaus did not leave again for they understood Christ and his mission after
the breaking of bread.
Anytime
we are in trouble, we should just beacon on the Lord and he will answer us. In
the story above, effort was made. God only need to see our little effort and he
Will do the rest for us. The merchant who got the gift the King left added his
effort and got the gift. God wants us to do something ourselves. He wants us to
be good, to avoid evil and he will come to our aid. He is a God who cannot
leave his sons and daughters in their hard situations. Let us today make a
useful step like the disciples who were going to see if they will be useful in
life and God will come to show us the right path which we should follow.
When
we were small, my father will always tell us that if we make effort to get food
for goats he will leave us unpunished. But if he does not see any effort, he
will take it as bad will. So effort is required of us so that he will not leave
us among the dead. My body shall rest in
safety Amen. THANKS AND HAPPY SUNDAY.
