Nnam! Si mu dalu (Father! Tell me weldon) By Tobe Eze

Nnam! Si mu dalu (Father! Tell me weldon)
There are things we do sometimes consciously or unconsciously and they spoil things. These things are things that are very infinitesimal but when we do them, they amount to a very big problem. They kill the good spirit of work in people, they demoralize, they weigh people down, they even make people to be wicked, they also make some lazy, they can as well make people to be dubious and many other bad effects of it. We often quote Cicero, “Gratitude is the least of all virtues but when neglected, it becomes the greatest vice”, but to put it into practice is very difficult for us. The word “Weldon” can help to solve a very big problem that will follow it when neglected. Continue Reading..........

CATHOLIC YOUTH, SOCIAL MEDIA AND OUR MORAL VALUES, CROSSING THE Ts AND DOTING THE Is. By Tobe Eze

CATHOLIC YOUTH, SOCIAL MEDIA AND OUR MORAL VALUES, CROSSING THE Ts AND DOTING THE Is.
INTRODUCTION
Our topic of discussion today is broad one that encompasses many things. Firstly it has catholic youths as its first target and their actions towards morality. Social media is blown very well in the topic because of its effect on the youth especially on attacking their level of morality. That social media is blown in the topic does not mean that it does the whole thing but rather, it does more. I will eventually touch other aspects or things that drag our morality to the dust. I tried to narrow this down in just the below definitions and ways by which our morality as youths can be degenerated and possible solutions to this new era disease. Continue Reading..........

CAN WE SAY HE IS BEHIND CORONA VIRUS? By Tobe Eze

CAN WE SAY HE IS BEHIND CORONA VIRUS?

Introduction
Since the outbreak of this virus that is ravaging the world today, many things have happened and many news are flying both true and false news. Many have asked so many questions that are seriously looking for answers and some of them have not gotten the answers they are looking for.
Many have been reflecting on this situation and I decided to join the queue, for I can see the necessity. I have to reflect on some of what people are suspecting about this corona virus, the time it struck hard and our supposed responses to it as Christians and human beings. I may not write what might have never existed but I will make it exist in my own terms. Continue Reading........

COVID-19 AND 5G NETWORKS: A REPROACH TO THE CONSPIRACY THEORY BY: BRENDAN AMADI

A RESPONSE TO THE EFFECTS OF EARLY MARRIAGE By Tobe Eze

A RESPONSE TO THE EFFECTS OF EARLY MARRIAGE
In this world, anything that has advantage, there are still many disadvantages that follow it and we cannot discard it entirely because of the disadvantage forgetting the advantages of it. I thank my brother for recognizing at all that early marriage has some advantages but he emphasized the disadvantages more as if nothing good can come out of it.
Following your points, that someone is young does not mean that that person cannot take care of a family. The skill of a good home does not depend on the age but the maturity of the individuals involved. The home training of a person can make one to be knowledgeable more than an old person. If you invite our dialectical adage, it can tell you more, “Onye ije ka onye isi awo akiko”, which means, someone who has traveled a lot have more stories than an old person who has not traveled. There is a clear difference between growing up and growing old.
Your second point again has flaws. What type of youthful experience do you mean? For the fact that you are married does not remove the youngness in you. There are many who are very much capable to take care of twenty families at their youthful age and at that age you think they will be due to marry, they may not be able to take care of a half family. For the fact that they study does not make the marriage wrong for even those we feel they are now matured to marry are still struggling to study. Age does not bring understanding but maturity. Someone may be 50 years without having any understanding spirit while someone of 20 years will have that in full.
If you say that getting married forces one to lack in finance, what of those who made it early? There are some who are very young and rich and they can take care of many families. There are some women who bring open door for people. I have many existential examples of those who marry and their wives made them to become somebody in the society. For the fact that marriage needs money to maintain does not mean that marriage depends on money.
In conclusion, being married at the early age can bring disadvantages likewise marrying late can also do. We should not stress the other side of it forgetting that there are also good sides.
My brother, you would have made your point clearer if you used probabilistic words or statement than saying it capitally that early marriage is not good. Thanks.

My Reflective thought on Masturbation* By Brendan Amadi

*My Reflective thought on  Masturbation* By Brendan Amadi

Masturbation is unhealthy and is a mayhem to one's sexuality. In my own perspective it falls under the conspiracy theory of Human sexuality because it is falsified and it is a faked sex. It is  psychologically harmful or pathological and it is highly correlated with
psychological projection , paranoia and
Machiavellianism. It is good you cut it off if you involve in it because it is an evil and a bad habit that trends and can easily get to a chronic level. At this stage one becomes a chronic masturbator and it is not nice for human growth and development and humanity. Is not just a sin against God but a sin against the self and humanity. A critical study on *Sigmund Freud's Personality development* where he explored on three main thesis Psycho- Sexual development, psycho Therapy and Psycho- Analysis...In his Psycho sexual development & Analysis there is a practice  I emphasized on, called *Energy channelling* .... In this aspect, I try to draw some points with people who gain pleasure watching pornography, Continue Reading.............

THE ROLE OF THE CHURCH IN THE FIGHT AGAINST TERRORISM By NONSO AMADI

THE ROLE OF THE CHURCH IN THE FIGHT AGAINST TERRORISM
By NONSO AMADI

Introductory Remark
There is no generally agreed definition of terrorism. The Terrorism Act 2000 defines it as the use or threat of action involving serious violence, damage or danger to life and health…in order to influence government or intimidate the public in a political, religious or ideological cause. The aphorism that “one person’s terrorist is another person’s freedom fighter” relates more to the justification or exculpation of particular campaigns than to the character of the phenomenon itself. It does however signal that the political dimension of terrorism makes it impossible to assimilate it totally either to war or to crime (with both of which it has considerable affinities). This has implications for the means used to combat it. Continue Reading........

On the Second Thought By Tobe Eze

ON THE SECOND THOUGHT.

Many of us have been in one way or the other fell victims of second thought either in the positive direction or in the negative direction. The manifestation of second thought affirms the philosophical assertion that “man is a rational being”. It shows that we do not strictly act with instinct like animals rather we act with reason. Taking a particular portion in the bible as a case study and afterwards, bringing it down to our own ways of life, I will try to explain the idea of “second thought”. THE DRAINAGE OF IDENTITY STARTS BY LOSING THE SURNAME By Tobe Eze

THE DRAINAGE OF IDENTITY STARTS BY LOSING THE SURNAME
INTRODUCTION

Many persons believe so much that name contributes to what someone may likely be and that is why many are being so careful with the names they answer. From the ancient days of our people till date, many persons take into consideration names they give to their children and the names people also take, because in my dialect, eha ne eso mmadu (name follows the bearer). Going back to the days of our forbearers, they were answering names based on what they achieved in life, circumstances surrounding their birth, names of good deities in their land and so on. These formed some of the names of which we have today in our different tribes and villages today. Taking Nsukka as a case study: We have names like, Attama from the Atta Igala, we have Okonkwo, maybe one born on Nkwo day, we have Oyima, maybe one born on the day of masquerade feast, we have Ogbuagu, maybe one who has killed lion before, we have Oyiodo, maybe one born on the day Odo is having feast and so many names attributed to many things. Some of these names were names of famous people in different fields and that have brought prestige to them those days.
These days, so many are now leaving these names to embracing new names of their biological fathers, either the English or Igbo names of their fathers. Some do this for many reasons. Some even do it without any reason while some are forced to do it. In many newspapers, we see every now and then, change of name by so many, and it is on increase daily. If you look closely, you will notice that, they majorly change their surnames because of one reason or the other.
I will like to point out many things about this name issue. I will like to touch (1.) Reasons for rejecting previous surnames. (2.) The implications of rejecting them. (3.) Possible solutions to this problem. With this, I will conclude.
