1st Reading: Numbers 6:22-27

2nd Reading: Galatians 4:4-7

Gospel: Luke 2:16-21

Theme: Life in the Appointed Time.

When is the appointed time? We know that God’s time is eternal and not just numerical (Kairos and not Chronos). What shall we see and we will know that the appointed time is here? Before we go into answering these questions, let us make this point clear. The church has no liturgical readings for this night but the church knowing the importance of using the highest prayer she has to welcome a new year and a new time permits the vigil mass of a New Year and she uses the readings of the solemnity of Mary Mother of God. Theme: Family life; A Journey of Faith

Often people like to attract pity by telling ugly stories about there families. Some would also be positive sometimes in telling stories about their families. Whichever one we have chosen to tell; we should always bear in mind that faith is required in every family. Faith in God and your family members. Again, we here every now and then that this is not what I bargained for in family issues, no one can know everything about his or her family before being in the family (especially husbands and wives). We may have in our heads prototype of families we would want ours to be like, only to go in and start seeing different things altogether. It is a journey of faith. Continue Reading..........

Christmas Vigil Mass Year B. By Tobe Eze

1st Reading: Isaiah 9:2-7

2nd Reading: Titus 2:11-14

Gospel: Luke 2:1-14

Theme: Joy, Despite the Situation

Every year, with great joy we await Christmas no matter the situation. Children often enjoy the season because of many goods they get but the joy of parents would always come with responsibilities. This year’s own responsibilities are like it has never been experienced because of the situation in the country, even children will feel it. Some of us may have wished this Christmas to have been shifted to know if things would get better, but here we are, this is Christmas. Just like we pointed out during the homily of the fourth Sunday of Advent Year B about things we would have loved to have achieved this year but could not. People find it very difficult to eat now talk more of footing other needs and here is Christmas again with many loads of expenses. Watching the situation we are into, we may be tempted to say, there is nothing to celebrate this year. Continue Reading..........

4th Sunday of Advent Year B. By Tobe Eze

4th Sunday of Advent Year B. By Tobe Eze

1st Reading: 2 Samuel 7:1-5. 8b-12. 14a. 16

2nd Reading: Romans 16:25-27

Gospel: Luke 1:26-38

Theme: The Intention to House God.

Every voluntary action of any human being is first of all intended before the actual execution of that act. Both our good and bad actions are intended insofar they are being done willingly. We think before doing any of them and that makes us different from other animals. If this is true, then, our intentions count in a great manner in whatever we do or say. As we have seen the place of intention in our actions, we need to ask ourselves certain questions about our intentions on certain issues and decisions we make especially this period of preparation. MY SPIRIT PROMPTS ME TO ENCOURAGE SOMEONE OUT THERE THAT GOD'S POWER IS REAL. By Nnadi AN

MY SPIRIT PROMPTS ME TO ENCOURAGE SOMEONE OUT THERE THAT GOD'S POWER IS REAL.

IN THE FOLLOWING LINES, I WILL BE NARRATING MY EXPERIENCES WITH GOD IN 2022. SPARE FEW MINUTES AND KEENLY GO THROUGH THEM. THIS MAYBE THE BEST LIFE CHANGING LINES YOU HAVE GONE THROUGH RECENTLY. MAY THE SPIRIT OF GOD IGNITE YOU WITH FIRE THAT WILL BURN FOR HIS GLORY AND FOR YOUR GOOD AS YOU JOURNEY THROUGH IT IN JESUS NAME, AMEN.

Please read to the end.

On 31st of December 2021, I was praying a prayer (Rosary and others) given to us in the Catholic Charismatic group and my Spirit man was quickened. After the prayer, I told God that I needed a sign of His presence. I told Him to do something that is impossible to convince me. Few minutes into this plea, rain started drizzling. At first I thought it was not true but I was wrong. I confirmed the drizzling. That was huge because it's something very unusual at such time of the Year.

MY EX CAME BACK WHEN I AM MARRIED ALREADY. By Tobe Eze

I was waiting for okada or keke one day just last two years Christmas season. A Lexus jeep stopped and my name was called in a gentle way from the car. Loo and behold, it was my ex. Nnamdi is now a rich guy ooo. We exchanged pleasantries, he opted to give me a free ride which I did not waste time to accept. It was really a long discussion because he actually took me to my destination. We exchanged contacts for we had already lost contacts. Nnamdi was my secondary school boyfriend, he loved me with everything in him and I loved him also. After his secondary school, he could not further in the university, he went for Boi (apprenticeship). When I finished secondary school three years after him, I entered university. Because of the Boi (apprenticeship) issue, I could not reach him again, then in my university days, in my year two, I meet Nelson and we ended up marrying ourselves. Continue Reading.......

HE MADE ME FALL IN LOVE WITH HIM. By Tobe Eze

It all started the night I went to my Classmate’s lodge to write assignment. I saw this fine guy in the lodge, for Christ sake everything I need in a man is in him. So tall, handsome, soft spoken, gentle, nice dressing and so on. I asked my friend about the boy and she  told me, Samuel! That shying guy. I fell in love more on hearing that he is even a shy type. After the whole night activities, we went to bed but I could not sleep because of the thought of the shying Samuel. In the morning, as God may have it, I was greeted with the face of Samuel when I went out to brush my teeth. What a smiling handsome guy. Good Morning Samuel! Very surprised that a strange girl knew his name. As a shy type, he just answered, Good Morning! He tried leaving and I called him back, asked him why he did not care to ask me how I got to know his name. He smiled (what a sweet face smiling to me this morning. This is really the day the Lord has made and I am happy and glad) and said, I was really surprised but did not feel like asking. I quickly asked him, are you a shy type? He retorted, No! But it is written all over you, I answered. He continued with his sweet smiles which I was enjoying. That was how morning discussion with this angel in a man started. After the discussion, I happily went in and told my friend everything. She laughed at me and told me not to mind Samuel, that he would fall my hand. I told her that I would try my best first before giving up. Continue Reading............

THIS IS WICKEDNESS . By Tobe Eze

This guy met me after Sunday Mass on that fateful day two years ago. He sounded so cold that I had pity on him and tried to inquire more of his problems. He told me several stories that touched me and I decided to help him. The most touching one is how he lost his family. Telling the story of how he lost his family members may take space so I wouldn’t go into that, I will concentrate on my encounter with him. Just know that he lost his family members through fire outbreak. Continue Reading.......
