THEME: LAWS ARE MEANT TO BE OBEYED BY ALL.
One day, Rosy went to a grocery shop to buy bread. When she saw that the shopkeeper was busy with the other customers, she stole some toffees from a jar.  When she got back home, her mother asked her that where did she get the toffees? Rosy told her mother the truth. Her mother said, "It's really very bad to steal. The shopkeeper might not be looking at you but the God is always looking at you all the time. So, one should never steal." Rosy understood the words of her mother and went back to the shop to return the toffees to the shopkeeper. The shopkeeper felt happy on seeing her honesty and gave her some toffees as a reward.
The first reading shows us the ten commandments of God which must be obeyed by all. These laws are divided into two, the first three are directly for God and the other seven are for God through our fellow human being. Vertical and horizontal love of God. Continue Reading...................

THE ARROW OF LOVE. By Tobe Eze

THE ARROW OF LOVE.
(IF YOU MUST LOVE, LOVE WISELY)
It pains most when you see your loved one being taken away from you either by human being or divine being. It is a pain from the heart that affects the body. When you see a person suffering from heart breaking problem caused by taking away of the other lover, you will notice it from the look or the appearance of the person. Love is a two edged sword, when treated well, it does many good but when treated badly, it also does many bad.
The Journey of Love: Before putting yourself into a serious relationship, check where it will be leading you to. Love is not something one should go in and come out anytime one wants, for it may cause many harm if one leaves it at its peak. The journey of love starts gradually and develops a strong bond. At the initial time, one may think that nothing is happening but with time, things will happen. Let us follow the life of these two lovers: It all started in the secondary school, in his last year in the secondary school. A certain girl joined them in their class to write WEAC with them. He was staying in the same line and was the next person to the girl. They started chatting as classmates who were staying together without any intention of having anything to develop between them. Life continued like that till January the last year of their stay there, he packed closer to the school to enable him study for his WEAC. Very fortunate for them, he was living very close to the girl’s house. The girl often goes to his house to study with him. This time around, there were things developing in them but they were pretending that nothing was happening. After sometimes, he opened up to the girl and told her that he loves her. To his greatest surprise, she responded in affirmation. It was on one faithful afternoon when they were alone in one of the rooms in their school hall that they first had their first kiss. On that same day, he told her that, they are not going to marry each other for they are age mates. The two agreed on that but they continued to love each other and cared for each other. Live as normal continued and the affection was growing very strong. When they started their WEAC, the fear of losing each other came upon them. The question now is why the fear, if they will not live forever? Continue Reading.........

THEME: THE MOUNTAIN'S EXPERIENCE.
Throughout the whole Bible, there are so many stories about mountain. Both ugly and beautiful stories happened on the mountain. Many beautiful stories that happened on the mountain was horrible before they reach the Horeb of the story. Come and think of Elijah when he ran out from Jezebel, he ran to the mountain, raven was feeding him and the voice of the Lord came to him there (1Kings 19:11-18, 1Kings 17:2-16), think of Moses, he was meeting God only on the mountain (Exodus 19:1-34). God himself promised to prepare banquet for his people on the mountain (Isaiah 25:6). Why mountain? Continue Reading.................................

FIRST READING
Genesis 9:8—15
SECOND READING
1 Peter 3:18—22
GOSPEL

THEME: REBUILD YOUR JERUSALEM.
God himself after creation noticed that his creatures were moving away from the track decided to rebuild and reconstruct his creation through flood as we read in the first reading of today. After the renovation of the world, a new life came in. It is expected that when someone is renovating his building, he will make the building better than before. So also, if we are to rebuild ourselves, we have to go for better part of living. God used water to rebuild the first world. Water that cleared the bad and left the good (Noah and family). When we notice that we are moving away, we should come back and this is the best season to do that. Continue Reading............................

MY LOVE MESSAGE TO YOU IN THIS LENTEN SEASON. By Tobe Eze

MY LOVE MESSAGE TO YOU IN THIS LENTEN SEASON.
How can the young remain sinless? (Psalm 119:9)
This Lenten period is a period we all are expected to learn the virtue of remaining sinless both for the young and for the old. It is not all about promising to suffer our flesh during this Lenten season, it is about the result of the suffering and sacrifices. Some fast now but the object of their fasting, they are keeping them waiting for Easter Sunday to recover all of them. When you fast now, know that you do not supposed to recover it again rather when the fasting is over, you continue with the good things around. Take up the good things, do not look back on the things that have passed. Forget the things of the past and remember them no more (Isaiah 43:18). They are few things we have to know, they are: Continue Reading..................

6th Sunday in Ordinary Time Year B

6th Sunday in Ordinary Time Year B
 FIRST READING
Leviticus 13:1—2, 44—46
SECOND READING
1 Corinthians 10:31—11:1
GOSPEL
Mark 1:40—45
THEME: THE CHURCH IS RIGHT AND HOLY.
During the time we had Ebola saga, some left the Catholic Church for they said they have committed abomination for asking the faithful to be receiving Holy Communion with hands. Some wanted to leave but they did not summon the courage to do that. Some stopped receiving communion till the period passed. Some were receiving it grudgingly. All these are the groups that said Church should not do such thing, that Church has lost her faith in Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. The Church is always wise and will continue to be right for Christ is always with his Church.
The LORD said to Moses and Aaron, "If someone has on his skin a scab or pustule or blotch which appears to be the sore of leprosy, he shall be brought to Aaron, the priest, or to one of the priests among his descendants. If the man is leprous and unclean, the priest shall declare him unclean by reason of the sore on his head. It is the work of the priest to declare one unclean. These days, when a priest declares one unclean, instead of working towards making him/herself clean, the person will turn against the Church especially the priest that declared him/her unclean. 5th Sunday in Ordinary Time Year B. By Tobe Eze

5th Sunday in Ordinary Time Year B.
FIRST READING
Job 7:1—4, 6—7
SECOND READING
1 Corinthians 9:16—19, 22—23
GOSPEL
Mark 1:29—39
THEME: GOD'S PERMISSIVE WILL, OUR FREE WILL AND PERFECT WILL OF GOD.
When one looks at the first reading, tracing it back to the time the devil got permission from God to try Job, one may ask. Why should God allow such to happen to one who is faithful to him? There are many examples in the Bible especially in the Gospel where story of sicknesses were told for the glory of God. After sees all these things we may ask, does God glory in the sufferings of his people?
It is not that God glories in the sufferings of his people but sometimes he allows some certain things to come our ways to solidify our faith in him. Our faith should be tested as gold is being tested in the fire to purify it (1Peter 1:7).  It is through some of these things that God’s many more blessings come our ways. Think of Abraham, after his faith had been tested, from that mountain the Lord started providing for him, Joseph after being tested, he started enjoying the blessings of the Lord with his family which the test came through. Job that we talk about today, after the testing, he latter enjoyed the riches of the Lord. Some of our trails are for us to see the glory of God around us. The man born blind that Jesus healed, he said that neither his sins nor his parents sins but for the glory of God to be revealed to him and others (John 9:3). When we receive some certain favours from God, they make us to acknowledge him the more. God permits in other to help us to trust him the more. It was Leibniz who on the account of explaining physical evil said that, they normally lead to good things, and sickness is one of them. Continue Reading....................
