In this article we are going to discuss in details the issues concerning parenting and responsibilities.

The reason for this is because in our society today, many parents have failed in their responsibilities to their children and this has led to increase in immorality and child labor as the order of the day. You hardly find a modern family that is built with the main family culture and respect which has brought about conflicts and separation amongst families in the name of western culture. Indeed, western culture has done a lot of good to us in terms of the way we think, act, communicate and also helped us to do away with cultures that has to do with encroaching in the rights of individuals in a given society, indiscriminate killing and shedding of innocent blood all in the name of culture and religion. TO YOU MY DREAREST By Tobe Eze

  TO  YOU MY DREAREST

My dearest one, I wish to tell you something but I would like to tell you a short story before that. This story will help me a little to clear the ground for what I wish to tell you.

In a certain autonomous community, the King died. After the burial and funeral, another king was needed. Two persons indicated interest, the first was well known personality in the community and the other was known but not like the first. Anywhere the first passed, people hailed him as the Igwe elect. He was already carrying himself as one. He needed no campaign again for his personality was enough campaign. The second person was struggling to make himself known and he was meeting known men and women in the community. He met the youths and even children. Continue Reading....................

SHALL WE TRY JUNGLE JUSTICE? By Tobe Eze

SHALL WE TRY JUNGLE JUSTICE?

On Friday, 3rd week of September 2021 which was on 17th, my very good friend and classmate was brutally dealt with by unknown cutlass men just because of his phone. He is still in the hospital suffering pains and spending from the nose because of fellow boys. They stopped two bikes, one in the front and the other at the back. One of them who was with the cutlass went down. Immediately they requested for the phone, he landed the cutlass on his head. Continue Reading...............

DO NOT CONDEMN THE YAHOO BOYS By Tobe Eze

DO NOT CONDEMN THE YAHOO BOYS

It is often seen that condemning people and their actions is very easy but recognising that we are into the same sin is very difficult. Worst still is even when we are worst than the people we condemn. Any little opportunity given to us to advise, preach, admonish, talk to people, we turn it into a judgement throne without accessing our own lives. I am not in anyway saying that we should not condemn bad acts, but I wish the condemnation should start from us before going to others. Why do I titled this, “do not condemn yahoo boys?” Continue Reading..........

Ndị Nsukka and shadows By Tobe Eze

 Ndị Nsukka and shadows

The disheartening thing about this generation is that they prefer the shadow more than the object. Always looking for a place to damage something or life in the name of one stupid thing or the other. In this country where the government has made even the unborn children to complain about hardship is where my people ndị Nsukka are always busy with some stupid activities

Firstly, this year 2021, I can say without fear of lying that about three persons lost their lives during the activities of either Akatakpa, Odo, Oriokpa, Kakpo, or Omabe etc. These youths involving in these activities are being supported by those who are holding the keys to their destiny and instead of working towards releasing themselves, they will tell you that even our men in the government are supporting us, omenala anyị ekpokogu (our tradition will not go into extinction). Where are their own direct sons and brothers? They bring money and you bring your life and destiny. Be wise ndị youth Nsukka. Continue Reading..................

How Are You? By Tobe Eze

 How Are You?

I think the habit of “how are you” should be a thing all of us should hold very dear. Many are being forgotten especially when they need the “how are you” of others. The act of visiting people is one of our qualities and traditions as Africans but some are now neglecting that fact. Solidarity can heal a dying soul. This visitation in our tradition is both in good time and bad time.

If your friend or relation tells you that he or she is sick, do not presume that he or she must recover, always ask the person “how are you”? If the person tells you that either the parent or sibling is sick, always ask how far. Visiting the person is an added advantage which will give a serious joy to the person involved.

Solidarity in the moments of crisis is always saving than in moments of joy. If we can develop to show concern in critical situations of our friends and relations, they will always be greatful to us. I can testify from some visits we made to our friends. We visited a classmate who’s mother has been sick and he has not stopped thanking us. We visited our classmates that were denied the same opportunity with us and they have not finished telling the story till date. Continue Reading............

INTRODUCTION

There are many things we do ordinarily and regularly that we always feel that they are normal without knowing that we are now becoming addicted to them. The tragic thing about addiction is that it does not start with difficult ways or things but simple things that can easily be done. Many are now addicted to many things that they cannot even stop again and we can see one of them in how we are addicted to certificates and hate knowledge. Addiction is like a cankerworm that eats deep into the lives of those involved. If we are addicted to anything we will always find reasons to justify ourselves. You will defend yourself to the highest point without thinking that you may be wrong categorically. We can be addicted to positive things and also we can be addicted to negative things. Tuesday Of Week 14 Year A By Tobe Eze

Tuesday Of Week 14 Year A

First Reading: Genesis 32:22-32

Gospel: Matthew 9:32-38

Theme: Let us keep it till this day

It is very common in our nature and among us to keep what we got from our forefathers both good and bad and we call them tradition or culture. This is mostly found in our youths these days going back to what our parents ran away from to embrace the gospel in the name of culture.

After the story of Jacob and the fight, we heard that his name was changed. Can’t we keep changing from bad to good till this day? We also heard in the conclusion that the Israelites do not eat the hip till this day because of their father Jacob. Can't we keep morals our forefathers taught us to this day? We stick to so-called cultures of our parents but will leave the morals they taught, behind. Who is deceiving who? No one is against our genuine culture but people leave our cultural heritage and take up the ones they like which most times are not even our culture.

In the gospel we can see Christ doing good despite the evil talks from the Pharisees against him. He also showed us what to keep to this day. Let us teach those who need teaching till this day as Christ did. Let us also show compassion to those who need it till this day as Christ did to those who needed it. Let us heal hearts till this day as Christ healed those who were sick. If we do these, if we keep them till this day, we shall make heaven. Thanks.
