LIFE NO BALANCE (ỤWA ADIRỌ BALANCE) PART TWO. By Tobe Eze

MAYBE WE SHOULD STOP LOVING OR BEING LOVED

I just started a discussion with a friend and he immediately introduced the topic of the need to get money. The topic pleased me also and I enjoyed the gist till when we started the analyse what is happening in the world today, especially in this part of the world. Maybe when God said increase and multiply, he was talking about avenues to make money whether legitimate or not. I have come to understand that you cannot discuss with an average youth for about 10 minutes without discussing money and how to make it. Sincerely speaking, money is good but I must add, legitimate money is sweet. So, all these ways of making money, we should make effort to follow legitimate ways in other to enjoy sweet money.

In the afternoon yesterday, a new number called me, when I took the call, it was from a lady who has a sweet, romantic and polished English voice. She told me that she was calling from one poverty liberation company. That I was recommended to them that I am a wonderful, gentle, intelligent etc man. I quickly asked her, who told them that I am poor and in need to be liberated (in actual sense I am poor, if you have a legitimate means, biko, help a brother)? Continue Reading............

LIFE NO BALANCE (ỤWA ADIRỌ BALANCE) PART ONE. By Tobe Eze

FIRST THING FIRST BIKO

E go choke some people as I dey change name of the title anyhow. They said change is constant and Nigeria is a living testimony to it. So, make I also join dey change anyhow. May things are not balanced in this life and I think it will be wonderful if we see them and know how we can help ourselves.

I have been wondering what gives some people joy in this life. After watching some of us, I swear E dey choke me. How can someone that his family is going hungry every day be answering Ome ego 1 na South? Some people are very good in pleasing people very far from them and who may not even appreciate the gesture and leaving those very close to them who are in serious need of help. How can a man go to church’s bazaar and be the highest donor while his maid in the house is home because of school fees? His parents in the village are already fetching water with buckets each time it rains inside their rooms because of faulty roofs? His brothers and sisters both nuclear and extended are finding it difficult to feed very well? Onwere ka odi. I am not condemning donation in the church, I also benefit from that, I am only pointing at first thing first. Let us start from the grassroots. Continue Reading.......

VILLAGE MEETING (MEETING ỤMỤNNA) PART SIX By Tobe Eze

ỤFỌDỤ ỤMỤ NWANYỊ DỊ EGWU

I know they were happy for the last write up but they will not like to take corrections that will come from this one, they will like to defend themselves. Ụfọdụ ụmụ nwanyị dị egwu. So women can be something else. After watching how they treat their families you will begin to wonder if they are created by the devil or still God. In all, some are very wonderful and are the answer to the biblical passage that said he who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favours from the Lord.

I just wonder how some women feel when they watch their husbands after working throughout the day to come home not to meet food because they went for one meeting or the other. I am just wondering how they enjoy telling their husbands that they could not cook because they had meeting and it does not happen once or twice but frequently. If you know that you have a meeting to attend, why not prepare something earlier and keep for the family than using that as an excuse. Even religious meetings should not take the place of your family. Some men spend most of their times in eateries because of this type of situation and from there, they may fall into wrong hands that will take them away from you. Please gaurd your husband jealousy and not allow what you can avoid to take him away from you. Continue Reading................

VILLAGE MEETING (MEETING ỤMỤNNA) PART FIVE By Tobe Eze

MY WIFE IS A CHEAT

Some men are very funny oooo. Because they married, their wives should change their sim cards, stop answering calls, stop chatting, stop visiting friends, delete all their social handles etc. You have not started. Any little call or chat, the woman is already cheating on him. Lekwanu anya. Do you think she had no friends before you married her? Do you think you were the only person that wanted to marry her? Do you know how many persons she rejected only to marry you? Biko, no go dey do pass yourself. I am not in anyway saying that there is no cheating, I am only trying to point out some points or behaviours of men that are not wonderful.

Do not search your wife’s messages and chats, they are not the best way to protect your wife and marriage. If you show your wife that you do not suspect her, if you show her that you trust her, 80% of them will show you maximum love and will not cheat on you. Even if the person is cheating, God will help you and expose her one day. But if you continue to show them that you do not trust them, you will see another side of them. Listening to her calls will not stop a cheat from cheating, she will just codify her words and you will never understand those words. A call that does not concern you, avoid making it a case. Love and trust is the best protective measure than being a watch dog. Continue Reading..........

YOU NEED TO UNDERSTAND ME PLEASE. IT IS NOT MY FAULT

Lekwanu ndị mmadụ ooooo. You want me to be having village meeting when exams were after my life. Exam no be my mate, but na me find trouble, na me accepted to study. Anyways, thank God I have finished and I am back for our meeting to continue. We shall start this meeting with my experience during this exam period. Before I continue, biko, congratulate me for it was not easy for me at all.

This my guy from the same umunna called me two times but I missed the two calls in one day during this exam period. When I came in around 10:56pm, I told myself that it was late to return the call that day that I will call him tomorrow. The tomorrow came and I had two papers, one in the morning and the other in the afternoon. After the two papers which were not all that easy for me, I forgot to return the call and continued preparing for the next paper. After two days, he sent me a message via WhatsApp and told me, “Tobe, what you are doing is not good but no problem. God is watching.” I tried to explain to him but he could not give me the opportunity. I tried all my best but he had already taken a decision. It pained me seriously but I was left with a tiny option. In my mind, I was telling myself that this guy suppose to understand me. Why is he saying all these? Kamu biakwa before I will give conclusion. Continue Reading...........

Justice: an Option for Peace in a Troubled Nigeria. By Tobe Eze

This article has already been published in Limelight Magazine (Holy Family Fathers and Brothers of the Youth Congregation HFFBY) 2022

HFFBY Publication

Introduction

Most troubles in Nigeria are caused by unhealthy division of public positions, fund and goods and unhealthy judgements. Again, when treatments become sectional or regional, it gives birth to many questions and those questions, if not answered well will cause crises. Those questions only demand, “Justice”. Nigeria from the amalgamation has been suffering from different troubles but the present situation seems to be the worst situation Nigeria has ever seen because of the loud cry of injustice all over the country. Justice has been sacrificed on the altar of ethnicity, tribalism, religiosity, sycophancy, hypocrisy, insincerity and so on. The duty of this article is to what justice is, types and how it can help the present state of the country. Continue Reading..........

VILLAGE MEETING (MEETING ỤMỤNNA) PART THREE By Tobe Eze

THIS LIFE I CAN’T KILL MYSELF OOOOO.

Seriously I have seen that this life is actually not balanced. When you are expecting that things will fall in place for you, one nonsense will just carry itself and take away your joy. Even, sometimes people will think you are enjoying without knowing that you are already dying. This is the cause of many depressions and even suicide we see these days. I have my many challenges likewise many other persons have theirs. If so, then I cannot come and kill myself.

Is it because I am getting old and my star is still delaying. The star does not want to shine. My classmates have made it, so many of them have many mansions, cars, business enterprises, companies, working in very high offices, top positions in the politics, have highly paid jobs and so on. I am just struggling to put food on my table, my life is filled with sufferings. Seriously I need to end all these. But, many of my classmates have also died and I am still alive. Biko, I can’t come and go and kill myself. Continue Reading..........

VILLAGE MEETING (MEETING ỤMỤNNA) PART TWO By Tobe Eze

ALLOW ME TO ENJOY MYSELF BIKO

Till you stay or work under presons who are like these, you will not understand why I am seriously shouting for this meeting ụmụnna. Most times, it is not always those who suffer more that cry out but those who are observing. That is why you will always notice mistakes in the pitch when you are just watching the match or you will be applying break with your legs and turning steering from your own side when you notice that the driver is not doing as you wish. This meeting that I am shouting for us to have is now urgent because of these:

Because you like taking alcohol, any other person who does not take alcohol should be avoided because you do not know what gives the person joy. Onye Joy. Biko, everyone must not be you and everyone must not like alcohol, mind your own business and pray  that that alcohol will not lead you astray. Or the other way round. Because you are not drinking alcohol, those who take it are now candidates for hell fire. Mummy G O daalụ. Who told you that that person taking alcohol is not better than you? Mind your own business and leave people alone biko. Na your own hell fire? Do not just allow your soft drink or water to disgrace you one day or worst still, take you to hell fire. REASONS WHY NIGERIAN CITIZENS TRAVEL ABROAD By Victor Obinwa

In recent times, Nigerian citizens have been travelling out of the country for one thing or the other. Those who have the financial wherewithal have landed themselves in America, Asia, Europe etc. and today, many are still trying to leave the shores of the country if they have the chance.

HERE ARE THE REASONS WHY NIGERIAN CITIZENS TRAVEL ABROAD

INCOME

Nigerians are aware that the time and energy they invest working in the country will earn them more income if they replicate that abroad. Being hardworking in diaspora means more money in the bank account, but the same cannot be said in the case of Nigeria.  Continue Reading.........
