GIVE ME ONE BOTTLE By Tobe Eze

I think I need a bottle of cool beer before starting this write up. I am even confused on how to start this write up but I must start it anyhow. It is now giving me and many other a serious concern that people are now leaving vital places of learning about homes and learning wrongly from wrong hands. I wonder why we have many broken homes these days that we have sophisticated technology that should have helped us live well. Our great grand parents did not have the opportunity we have these days and they lived in unity, happily and lived long. We have living examples these days from our aged parents. Some parents are still living happily but their children have divorced. What is actually happening? Should we go back into the world of no technology or no civilization? It is no longer possible. I think what is causing this is the wrong use of the opportunity we have. If we can use the opportunity we have now judiciously, we will be happier than our fore bearers. For instance: Continue Reading........

LIFE NO BALANCE (ỤWA ADIRỌ BALANCE) PART SIX. By Tobe Eze

CHIOMA IS PREGNANT AGAIN (EDITH BIKO ALLOW ME TO REST)

Edith: Tobe Eze, flowing from what you wrote about Chioma being pregnant, it is true that we should not judge people, we should not condemn people because of their sins rather, we should condemn their sins. My problem is that some people present themselves as deputy Jesus. They feel they will be sitting at the right and left hands of Jesus on the last day to select those who will go to heaven and those that will go to hell. They present themselves as super human beings that cannot sin again. Chioma may not be a victim but I have seen many who are that way. What do you have to say? Continue Reading.......m

THE OVER COAT by Brendan Amadi

I buttoned the overcoat round her shoulders.

I plunged into her webs of vapour

In between her hamas

Which by these times formed veils between the trees.

As she ascended the adjoining slope’

She could hear the rustling of the branches

I felt calm, in thought.

Imagined her beautiful creature!

My gaze in thought. Continue Reading.......

LIFE NO BALANCE (ỤWA ADIRỌ BALANCE) PART FOUR. By Tobe Eze

PEOPLE THAT I CANNOT UNDERSTAND

(Let us bear in mind, instead of money dividing us, let us divide the money)

There are people that I find it very difficult to understand in this world. I have tried all I could to see reasons to understand them but no reason has come to my mind. I have asked people around me to know if I will see reasons but none has offered any reason, especially the ones that I need. May be sharing it here will help me to get reasons to understand them. If you have reasons to give, please help a brother and probably brothers and sisters outside there who are also looking for reasons

The first group now is the group of persons who will meet you as your friend to help them and after the help, you will loose the friendship. These days, I have come to understand that we loose our friends more through the help we render to them when they are in need. I had this guy as my wonderful friend. One day, he called me and told me his challenges, that he needed some money to solve some of them. He pleaded that I should borrow him 20k that he would pay me up next month or if he could get it before one month, he would pay back. Continue Reading..........

LIFE NO BALANCE (ỤWA ADIRỌ BALANCE) PART THREE. By Tobe Eze

I DO NOT LOVE HIM

In my JS3 that was in 2009, one day, I visited my cousin brother. While going home, he told me that their first son bought him a new phone. He brought out the old one and asked me if I could use it. I gladly answered yes and collected the phone from him. I was really happy. I thanked him so much for the gift of the old Nokia Radio as it was called then. I quickly rushed home to show my people the gift that I got. When I reached home, I met my father and my elder sister. I told them about the phone. My elder sister who had no phone then was happier than myself and told me that I should know that it is our phone not mine. My father asked me again, Tobe, isu nee onye nuru gu phone (Tobe you said who gave you the phone)? I answered immediately, Ejike. My father asked me what I gave in return and I told him it was a free gift and he left without saying anything again. I was just rejoicing with my elder sister when my mother came back. I happily rushed her to break the news to her. After telling her, she asked me where my father was, I told her he was inside. She met him inside and after their discussion inside, she came out and told me. Tobe iji ewechi phonenu hu az mbe ishi wete, irue ogo phone nee anyi ji ama (Tobe, you will take that phone back to wherever you got it from, when you reach the level of having phone, we will know). FRIENDSHIP AND TOLERANCE. By Victor Obinwa

As they say a man without anyone to confide in is either an island or has psychological or emotional problem. And for you to grow and pass through some certain phases in life, there must be people you meet and they have roles and contributions to make in your life. Sometimes, they might make positive or negative contribution but be it as it may be, they are all contributing factors to our growth.

Friendship is a relationship of mutual affection between two people or Is a distinctively personal relationship that is grounded in a concern on the part of each friend for the welfare of the other, for the others sake and that involves some degree of intimacy. Continue Reading..........

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. By Victor Obinwa

In this article, we are going to discuss domestic violence its side effects and remedies.

Domestic violence is not something that is meted out on one gender, it’s something that affects us all.

Domestic violence can be said to be any form of abuse or violence in a relationship between adults or adolescents. Or it can be said to be an attempt to gain dominance and control over the other by the use of force or violence. It can escalate from threats to verbal assaults to violence. And the outcome of it all which is physical injury came to be severe. It can also cause depression, emotional breakdown, and reduction of self-worth which is very bad. Continue Reading.......

LIFE NO BALANCE (ỤWA ADIRỌ BALANCE) PART TWO. By Tobe Eze

MAYBE WE SHOULD STOP LOVING OR BEING LOVED

I just started a discussion with a friend and he immediately introduced the topic of the need to get money. The topic pleased me also and I enjoyed the gist till when we started the analyse what is happening in the world today, especially in this part of the world. Maybe when God said increase and multiply, he was talking about avenues to make money whether legitimate or not. I have come to understand that you cannot discuss with an average youth for about 10 minutes without discussing money and how to make it. Sincerely speaking, money is good but I must add, legitimate money is sweet. So, all these ways of making money, we should make effort to follow legitimate ways in other to enjoy sweet money.

In the afternoon yesterday, a new number called me, when I took the call, it was from a lady who has a sweet, romantic and polished English voice. She told me that she was calling from one poverty liberation company. That I was recommended to them that I am a wonderful, gentle, intelligent etc man. I quickly asked her, who told them that I am poor and in need to be liberated (in actual sense I am poor, if you have a legitimate means, biko, help a brother)? Continue Reading............

LIFE NO BALANCE (ỤWA ADIRỌ BALANCE) PART ONE. By Tobe Eze

FIRST THING FIRST BIKO

E go choke some people as I dey change name of the title anyhow. They said change is constant and Nigeria is a living testimony to it. So, make I also join dey change anyhow. May things are not balanced in this life and I think it will be wonderful if we see them and know how we can help ourselves.

I have been wondering what gives some people joy in this life. After watching some of us, I swear E dey choke me. How can someone that his family is going hungry every day be answering Ome ego 1 na South? Some people are very good in pleasing people very far from them and who may not even appreciate the gesture and leaving those very close to them who are in serious need of help. How can a man go to church’s bazaar and be the highest donor while his maid in the house is home because of school fees? His parents in the village are already fetching water with buckets each time it rains inside their rooms because of faulty roofs? His brothers and sisters both nuclear and extended are finding it difficult to feed very well? Onwere ka odi. I am not condemning donation in the church, I also benefit from that, I am only pointing at first thing first. Let us start from the grassroots. Continue Reading.......
